For merchants

Reach cardholders with merchant-funded offers

Create spend-based rewards that financial institutions deliver directly to their cardholders. No upfront costs — pay only when a customer redeems.

How it works

Four steps from draft to redemption

Step 01

Create an offer

Set your spend threshold, reward amount, and campaign duration. Templates seed the form with proven defaults.

Step 02

Send for approval

Institutions review and approve your offer for their cardholder programs. Approved offers go live automatically.

Step 03

Cardholders add

Cardholders see your offer in their banking app and add it to their card with one tap. No coupon codes.

Step 04

Match and redeem

Saldo matches qualifying purchases in seconds. You're charged only on a successful redemption.

FAQ

Merchant FAQ

How much does it cost for merchants to use Saldo.tech?

+

There are no upfront fees. Merchants are charged only on successful redemptions. Saldo.tech takes a 10-15% transaction fee from the merchant-funded reward amount. For example, if you offer $15 cashback, you pay the full $15 and Saldo retains its fee before passing the net amount to the financial institution.

What types of offers can merchants create?

+

Merchants create spend-based offers with a minimum purchase threshold and a reward amount. For example: 'Spend $200, get $15 back' or 'Spend $50, get $5 back.' Offers can target specific card programs, geographies, or run for limited time periods.

How do cardholders discover my offers?

+

Financial institutions display your offers to their cardholders through their banking app, mobile app, or online banking portal. Saldo.tech provides an embeddable widget that institutions customize with their own branding. Your offers reach cardholders across all participating banks and credit unions.

How does transaction matching work for merchants?

+

When a cardholder who has added your offer makes a qualifying purchase at your store, the financial institution sends the transaction data to Saldo.tech via API. Our matching engine automatically confirms the purchase meets the offer requirements (correct merchant, spend threshold met, offer still active) and triggers the reward. No manual reconciliation needed.
